Tonko  is and owner surrender due to the owner moving. He is what we call an “OLD SOUL PERSONALITY.’

Rachel, Tonko’s Foster writes: “Tonko came to me after being abandoned by his owner at 8yrs old. This sweet old guy was a hot mess - covered in fleas, sores, & infections. Despite all of this, Tonko's beautiful spirit refused to break. He was so grateful to receive care; allowing me to bathe and treat his skin/ears/eyes with no protest at all. He would just sit there and let me do all the things he needed, even when I could tell it wasn't comfortable for him.

​After a few days, his silly personality started to bloom. He loves plush toys & would excitedly pick one up to bring to me, tail wagging, each time I returned home. He also started going for walks so that we could work on his leash manners. He's always exited when he sees his leash & harness now! He recently learned how to use a dog door; such a smart guy!

Now he enjoys leisurely "sniffari" strolls & sunbathing it the backyard whenever he pleases. He is just the kindest old soul & I am just so grateful to be able to help him feel better & receive to love that he gives so freely to all he encounters.
